As it grabbed so much attention, there were still many who were not satisfied with just getting confused. They wanted to know exactly why these sounds had occurred, and their reason for ever happening in the first place. So much was still left a mystery regarding the Denver booms. But soon new evidence was presented leaving the residents a very unfortunate news.

Not What They Expected

The people living in Denver had not been able to function and go about their usual routines since the mystery of the loud sounds had still not been solved. They had looked all over for any clue to clarify their doubt. But soon, there was a possible explanation. However, it was unlike anything they had hoped for. In fact, this could have occurred due to a small industrial accident.

 That Night

There was a new evidence that could hopefully open the eyes of the locals a little bit more and have more clarification. The representatives of the Colorado Oil and Gas Conservation Commission gave out a report that in the evening of the incident, there was an empty storage tank that suffered due to a malfunction. The pressure in the tank grew more and more as the night went on. Then it happened…

A Colossal Mistake

And so as the night went on, the pressure inside the tank turned out to be too much. it then resulted in the lid of the tank completely blowing off. This was probably the sound, the loud booms that the locals staying in Denver heard that terrifying evening. This was not all, there was yet another explanation that made complete sense to this particular theory.

 The Compromised Tank

So what was the additional information that made this explanation make more sense? Well, it was revealed later that the oil and tank company were the owners of the tank filed a report that spoke about the covers of the tank being compromised. So, this made it a very believable reasoning behind what the people had heard that night. But one key factor was still a huge mystery…

So there was another big question. The sounds that would have come from the tank lids would have made a solid “boom” or two. But in that evening, this was not what happened.
