Stood There

As expected the birds did not fly away. They all stood there still and kept on looking at Jessie. Probably they were still hungry and hoped that they would be served more food. But they did not move. What will they do next?

Hunt For Food

The bald eagles are one of the scariest hunters. They attack their prey via their claws. As soon as water surface fishes and even ground critters see them approaching, they rush to lower levels. These birds can even eat a snake. Now that Jessie had no food what were they going to eat now?

Hanging Around

The bald eagles did no harm to Jessie, they did not attack him either. They just were hanging and moving around and hoping to get something more to eat. This was something really strange about their nature.

Video Viral

Jessie luckily made a video of this rare sight and shared it over the web. The video went viral within minutes and people were surprised to find so many eagles in the United States as their population was on the verge of extinction once.

Population

As per official state records, Alaska has a population of nearly 30,000 bald eagles. One can find sea easily here and thus a lot of salmons and fishes are also being exported and imported from this place, and as these species love this food, they can be located here. However, the case was not the same as always.

In The 1950s

Back in the 1950s, the bald eagles’ population was declining. And one of the major issues for this cause was the chemical DDT that was harming these birds and eventually they were dying. But with certain conservation efforts, their population was still stable.
