Highgate Cemetery, England
This is one of the most haunted places in the United Kingdom. The cemetery that is full of lichen-spotted tombstones and looming oak trees of London’s Highgate Cemetery has made many hearts sink in horror. Things that add to the weirdness of the cemetery is the angelic figures lurking in the middle of the shadow growth, the laughter of gargoyles coming from crevices and also the uncountable tombs spread ahead. Some have even said that they have witnessed ghosts moving over the Gothic carvings. Other talked about the presence of vampires.
Bighorn Medicine Wheel, Wyoming
What do you think this structure is made for? Well, nobody knows the purpose behind it. However, there are a couple of theories that try to justify its existence. One of them is that perhaps the wheels links with the stellar and cosmological alignments or perhaps the work of some rituals and ceremonies. In Native American spirituality, the Medicine Wheels calls for harmony. Though no one knows the purpose behind the making of this wheel, it is considered one of the sacred sites of America and so is very well-preserved.
Skellig Michael, Ireland
Skellig Michael, an island surrounded with mysteries became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1996. This rocky island is a subject to many Christian and Celtic legends. This is believed that a group of monks made it their home and built a settlement wholly by hand. This is still a mystery why they specifically chose this place to build their settlement and how did they manage to live there. You might be remembering Skellig Michael featured in “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.”
