Under Training

O’Brien was assigned the task of giving training to Meagan. The former had trained many nurses and she was looking forward to train Meagan too as she had heard a lot of good things about her from Nelms. The duo were going to work on the same floor at the same shift. O’Brien and Meagan got along very well in their first meeting.

O’Brien stayed in charge of Meagan for five months. They had become very good friends over the months. You could see them talking for hours. People take years to form a bond that they had formed in a few months. They talked not only about their professional lives but personal too. It is while having one of those honest conversation, O’Brien learned something unbelievable.    

Me Too

O’Brien learned a surprising truth about Meagan when she asked her if she too belonged to Korea. She had this question on her mind since she had seen her for the first time. The answer came in positive. Just like her, Meagan too belonged to Korea and had an unique life story. Thereafter, she said something that made O’Brien made her jaw drop. 

Something More

Meagan during that conversation said that she originally belonged to South Korea. She spent a few years of her childhood residing with her father in their house but soon got relocated to an orphanage after her father died. After living in the orphanage for some time, she got adopted by a couple from New York. O’Brien was still surprised to know that the person she had been talking to for so long shared a same life story like hers. Was there anything more common between them? O’Brien asked her which orphanage she was put in.  

What A Surprise

Much to O’Brien surprise, she stayed in the same orphanage as her. Well, this piece of information blew O’Brien’s mind. The veteran was 46 years old whereas Meagan had just turned 44. They wondered if there was more to discover about each other and so they began discussing about their past. 

Just A Coincidence?

Their trip down the memory lane was full of surprises. They excitedly shared about their days in South Korea with each other. Meagan revealed that she got her name changed after being adopted by the American family. Well, that is what had happened to O’Brien as well. She wondered if this all really was a coincidence.
